Ariel + Kentaro | Columbia River Gorge Elopement
Ariel and Kentaro’s Columbia River Gorge elopement was peaceful, personal, and full of intention. Instead of a big crowd, they invited just three close friends—one to officiate and two to witness their vows. That choice set the tone for a day focused entirely on connection, nature, and meaning.
Early in the day, they got ready quietly, tucked away in a forested spot near Hood River. Then we made our way into the Gorge, stopping often to take in the views. The landscape constantly shifted—open cliffs, rolling hills, and the wide Columbia River in the distance. Each stop gave us space to slow down, breathe, and capture the moment.
Eventually, they reached their ceremony spot—wind-swept and overlooking the valley below. With their friend leading and the other two looking on, Ariel and Kentaro exchanged vows that felt honest and grounded. There were no distractions. Just the wind, the trees, and the quiet joy of two people promising forever.
After the ceremony, we wandered through a few favorite locations for portraits. Meanwhile, the group shared stories, laughter, and the kind of peace that comes from choosing something deeply personal. Rather than a formal reception, they wrapped up the evening with a picnic. Simple, thoughtful, and full of warmth.
If you’re dreaming of an Oregon elopement that’s intimate and beautiful, the Columbia River Gorge is hard to beat. It offers stunning views, fresh air, and room to create something completely your own.
