Claire + Trevor | Portland Forest Engagement Session

Claire and Trevor knew exactly what they wanted for their Portland forest engagement session—trees, and lots of them. So naturally, we headed to Hoyt Arboretum in Portland, one of the best spots in the city for that peaceful, forest-filled vibe.

We spent the evening exploring the winding trails, laughing, and stopping anytime the light hit just right. My approach to posing is always a mix—part documentary, part “hey, go climb up there!” That balance lets couples be themselves while also creating some epic, frame-worthy moments.

Claire and Trevor were so easygoing and fun to work with. They embraced every prompt, every quiet moment, and every adventure through the park. Whether they were walking hand in hand or joking around under the tall evergreens, their connection came through in every shot.
